Accordion
Frank Petrilli is a jazz accordionist based in Los Angeles, California highly active in both the accordion and wider jazz communities on the West Coast and throughout the US. A protégé and close friend of the late jazz accordionist Frank Morocco, Frank has performed with renowned artists such as guitarist John Chiodini at top venues such as “Herb Albert’s” Vibrato’s Grill and Jazz. Here they are playing “You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To” at the Cotati Accordion Festival in 2013.
Frank has performed at many of the major accordion festivals and clubs in the US and in 2019 made his overseas Gypsy jazz debut performing with Samuel Farthing at Django sur Lennon in County Donegal, Ireland. He joined our teaching staff to rave reviews last year and we’re happy to have him back. Here he covers a tune that is as welcome at a Gypsy campground as on the concert stage, Toots Thielemans’ “Bluesette.”
