The Basic Django Camp Options
Your DiJ registration starts with tuition, the only mandatory item on the menu. On-campus housing and meals are recommended, but optional.
Here are the costs:
- Tuition – Early Bird: $655 (through February 20th.) After that date, tuition will be $700. This covers access to all classes and jams from Tuesday night through Sunday morning. It does NOT include Tuesday Special Offerings or the concerts.
- Housing – Smith College’s ongoing transition to geothermal energy now allows them to offer air-conditioning in some of the dorms. We offer that option on a first-come-first-served basis. Rooms are private; bathrooms are shared.
- Air-Conditioned Room – $350 for 5 nights (Tuesday-Saturday).
- Non-Air-Conditioned Room – $250 for 5 nights Tuesday-Saturday)
- Meals – TBD
Early Arrival and Special Tuesday Offerings
If you would like to arrive on Monday or early Tuesday, you’ll want to consider adding additional workshops as well as housing and meals to the “basics” listed above.
Tuesday Special Workshops
THIS AREA UNDER CONSTRUCTION
These pre-camp workshops are a great way to get the most out of your trip to Django in June. These are day-long workshops consisting of 3 sessions of 90 minutes each. The cost for a Special Offering ranges from $110 to $140. You can follow this link for all the details. Here we’ll just list the Tuesday workshop options you’ll see on the registration form.
- Meet, Greet and Play All Day – Facilitated jamming from the get-go. All instruments and levels.
Early Arrival Housing and Food
Early-arrivers may also need a room for Monday night or meals on Tuesday:
- Monday night housing – $70 for an additional night in the dorms.
- Tuesday meals – TBD.
Friday and Saturday Night Concerts
- Concert Tickets – Concert tickets are NOT part of your Django Camp registration. Ticket sales are handled by the venue, the Academy of Music . Registered Django Campers will have access to discounted concert tickets before the general public, guaranteeing you the best seats in the house at the best price. We’ll provide that early access to registered participants once arrangements with the Academy of Music have been finalized.
Half-Camp Option
Half Camp registration is an option we have always been able to offer to a limited number of participants. We give first priority, however, to those who plan to be here for the entire event, so the Half Camp option will open on April 1st at the earliest. If you’d like to be alerted when half-camp registration becomes an option, please shoot us a brief email to that effect at djangojune15@gmail.com.
Your Payment Options
- Full payment – If you would like to pay in full now and be done with it, that works for us.
- Partial payment – Until March 31st, you may pay a $200 deposit (non-refundable); your remaining balance will be due by April 30th.
- Whichever option you choose, when you register during the Early Bird period (which lasts through February 20th) you lock in Early Bird tuition.

Our Cancellation Policy
First off, let’s put this piece plainly: If we have to cancel Django in June, anything you have paid will be refunded in full.
If the event is going on but you, for whatever reason, need to cancel your registration, here’s our cancellation policy:
- Your $200 deposit goes to cover up-front expense and is non-refundable.
- If you opt to register in full, all but $200 of that registration payment is refundable through March.
- During the month of April, 50% of your full registration payment is refundable
- After May 1st we are fully committed to Smith College and our artists, so no refunds can be guaranteed.
