Sometimes called ‘Moscow Lights’, or ‘Moscow Windows,’ this lovely tune has been recorded and performed by many great jazz manouche artists. Jack’s charts first offer a very simple statement of the melody and chords. It’s a great practice to listen to many and diverse versions of whatever tune you’re working on, and this one offers so many interpretations to reference. A short list of artists you can find on youtube performing Les Fenêtres would include Angelo Debarre, Moreno and Marina Winterstein, and Serge Camps and Opus 4. All offer something different.
