Phrasing Workshop
Using games of call and response, inhibition, rhythmic patterns, intention, and voice leading we will learn how to make the maximum musical impact with a minimum of material. This style of ‘simplified improvisation’ allows more complex licks and vocabulary a context to emerge from, and allows the player a framework to find their own ear’s inclinations.
