This year marks the 100th anniversary of Jo Privat’s birth so we’ll be giving special attention to his work—especially his album, ‘Manouche Partie,’ to which our guests Swing of France have recently recorded a tribute. The Gusti Malha composition, La Valse des Niglos, is included on that recording with Matelot Ferret on guitar. The melody we’re providing is inspired by a chart Erwan Mellec (of Swing of France) shared with us, but the tune is fertile ground for countless variations.
